Itchy patch
Hi all, I have an itchy rash type patch on my leg. I went away to Goa in Feb and remember getting out of the sea and it itching. It wasn't raised so didn't think I had been bitten, but it went pink where I had been scratching. anyway now 3 months later it is still itching, there are several scabs where I have scratched so much it bleeds, it wakes me up at night cos it itches so much. Its probably once a day it gets unbearable, then the rest of the time I forget its there! I have booked an appointment with the nurse for this afternoon, but any ideas what it could be? Someone at work said there could be something in it, how would the docs get rid of it?

If you hadn't been abroad, I'd have said it could have been eczema or an allergy reaction. But as you have been abroad, I would say, definitely needs checking out as you could have been bitten but didn't notice until it itched after you'd been in the sea.
