Herbal Cytokine Inhibitor
I was wondering if anyone here had ever had any experience with PADMA-28 or PADMA BASIC? Both are evidently "Tibetan Herbal Blends" which have been shown to be useful in treating auto-immune disorders. The abstract below doesn't evaluate it for P, but it does mention its useful for inhibiting IL-6, IL-8, and TNF-alpha.

I've never tried them, and only PADMA BASIC is available in the US. I was wondering if anyone had used them to any effect. It also mentions that it decreases IL-10, which is supposedly good for controling P, so I figured I'd ask around, rather then being a guniea pig.
Since I'm new to the boards:
I'm a 25 y/o guy living in NYC. I've had moderate P since 2003 (when I was 23), which popped up after a case of strep throat. The strep was in itself was pretty unusual, as I can count on my fingers the number of times I've been sick in my entire life. I think that I may have actually had P earlier, but it just manifested as spots on my ankles, so I just assumed they were bug bites (at the time I lived in a suburb with lots of bugs) before the strep spread it all over.
Recently I've been taking a pretty agressive approach to fighting the P. I've used bunch of herbal supplements in combination with Taz and a steriod... pretty much killed off the P. That is until a few weeks ago when it reimmerged as inverse on my inner thighs and my left armpit.
I try to have a pretty good attitude about things, but this inverse is killing me. Its so painful that I can't really walk, which is really terrible as I live in NYC and need to walk all the time. Because of the placement of the inverse and its proximity to some pretty 'sensitive tissue', I can't really use the Taz and steriod approach.
Right now I don't have access to a derm (I hate the American health care system)... I do have all my old perscriptions, but I know better then to use them down there, as they are too strong. Hence looking for alternatives.

Response:
